a day at slaughterhouse

Last friday was Spirit Day at Sacred Hearts
Papa and I arrived at the end and this is where
they were all singing the school song.
The school was divided into two teams:
blue & white
Kalia was on the white team,
the Kindergarteners did championship bean bags.
Kalia made all her bean bags in:)

Family day at Slaughterhouse
Going to check out the cave.
The waves were pretty big that day,
so we dug a big hole, the girls made snow angels,
they played on this big boulder and did some rock walking.
Erik and I got a little swimming/body surfing in.

Look, we're in a cave!

Rock climbing,
Kalia is quite the expert.

Me and Maya
Decided to throw one in,
I usually don't make the blog:)

She was really into it.

Being silly with Papa

Let's see what's been happening. Well, we've been having lots of fun with Papa. He just left and first thing yesterday morning, Maya said, "where's papa". I think she got used to him being here. Kalia has been really impressing me with her reading, she's been reading the level 1 books, with short sentences. With some help on the more challenging words, but I'm really impressed and excited! Picked up some new ones at the library yesterday. Every night I ask the girls what "movie" they want me to put in- it's something I used to do for my sister when she was little. It's just a pretend movie that I pretend to put in and plug into their heads to dream about at night. Maya has been saying that she wants a "Kalia" movie to dream about and tonight she wanted a "mommy" movie "because I love you". Kalia's movies lately have been "school" or "strawberry shortcake".

Maya went to the dentist today and she did great and was all good with her teeth. Although we need to work on the thumb sucking...

Kalia and I have a dentist appointment in two weeks, I had to reschedule mine and she was scheduled on Valentine's day- but this was unacceptable for her! That is a holiday and maybe she will have something to do! OK...
