pumpkins

The girls getting the slimy stuff out.
Kalia lasted quite a while and then decided it was too gross.

Getting the seeds out for roasting.

Finished products

Kalia's pumpkins
Her little pumpkin drawing was really good!
She drew out on a piece of paper what she wanted
on her carved pumpkin

Maya's pumpkins
She insisted on drawing the face on herself
on her carved pumpkin and I thought she did very well!

post pumpkin patch fun

Keokea Park
1st time back since Kalia was 1 1/2!
We met the Gorings here after the Pumpkin Patch,
it was very fun and no one wanted to leave.
But we headed to Rice Park after
to go sliding down the hill.

We happened to have a big box in the back of the car,
and it was a whole lot of fun.

Kindergarten Move-A-Thon
Here comes Kalia's group to my station

Hula Hoop, Hop Scotch & Follow the Line

Waiting for Taeja to Hula Hoop

I got this one of Krystal (Kalia's 8th Grade Buddy) & Kalia

Kalia doing the Obstacle Course
I didn't take a whole lot of photos, since I had a station!

Group Photo
We had to pull Taj off the tire swing for this one...

"Show us your muscles"

Then they had water fun, pizza party and
watched a Scooby Doo movie.
Yes, Kalia was in heaven!

Kalia also came home saying,
"Trick or Treat, Smell my Feet,
Give me something good to eat,
if you don't I don't care,
I'll pull your underwear"
Taught to her by her teacher.
Good times.

OK, this is one of the only photos I took at the dance.
It was the Sacred Hearts Halloween dance-
all family included.
Someone else was getting this picture,
so I took one as well.
Maya actually had more fun than she looks like in this photo.
There were times where they were both
dancing with the older girls on the dance floor.
We all danced a bunch too (Erik & I with the girls).
I really didn't know what to expect, but it was pretty fun.
There were tons of kids, parents and everyone dancing.
Overall fun 1st dance for all of us:)

This is their stomping ground and they were taking us on an adventure!

Maya wanted to be with Kalia all day.

Hug the tree

Kanoa & Kalia
I didn't get a lot of photos since we were climbing slippery rocks, swimming in cold, crystal clear pools and wading through streams. What fun! The girls had a blast!

Kalia won the Happy Hearts Award.
She and Zach Butler were the 1st to receive it in their class.
It was presented at morning assembly.
It literally just showed up in her folder and she said,
"oh, I got an award..."
She had to go up and stand up in front of the entire school to receive the award.

Maya finished her potty chart- 24 times going on the potty!
Yeah Maya!
She got to go and have a peanut butter cup hula pie!
There were mouthfuls of hot fudge and whip cream.

Kalia had a field trip to Surfing Goat Farm today with her class, they got to wear jeans and bring a sack lunch. She got to feed, milk and pet the goats- they had a great day! We've painted pumpkins, made lot of Halloween pictures and will probably go to the pumpkin patch this weekend. Tomorrow is Kalia's Move-A-Thon and Monday will be her Halloween party at school. I finished Maya's tail for her Polka Dot kitty costume and then a collar to match, so she's been wearing it all day today. Now I am working on my purple backpack and map for my costume...

Scarlett's Birthday

At Scarlett's "Fancy Nancy" party-
we had to dress fancy. Which meant dress like a princess to my girls.
Maya had to be Snow White and Kalia wore her pink princess dress.

Pin the Rose on Fancy Nancy

Maya's turn

Freeze Dance!

Taking a break from running around and screaming,
waiting for the entertainment.

Hula Hoops!

Sitting in a circle,
Maya scooted herself right in.

Hula Hoop Limbo

Kalia's face painting
Do you see the fairy?

Maya patiently waited her turn,
and refused cake until her face was painted.

Waiting for the pinata

Hitting the pinata

Super fun party! The girls are making cards for Uncle Greg's birthday. We are having a down day- the girls played "school" all morning and got along!!!! This hasn't been the norm lately, quite the opposite. Now I've just jinxed myself for the rest of the year, but I had to document this momentous day! 2 hours of no crying and no tattling!!! When normally I have to break them up every couple of minutes. I cleaned the kitchen, mopped the kitchen and both bathrooms and got so much laundry done. Yeah!
