grand wailea anniversary

We had our ultrasound on Wednesday and the baby is doing great, however, he/she would not cooperate and let us take a look between the legs. Hopefully, we will get another ultrasound or will we have to be surprised?!?

For our 4th wedding anniversary we stayed at the Grand Wailea. We had a great stay in Wailea, Kalia really loved her "other home" and cried when we had to leave, "No, I want to go to the other home". We really took advantage of the pool and went 3 times in our 24 hours. Erik took Kalia down a lot of the slides and she did great "swimming" in her floaties through the lazy river, as long as we had one hand on her. She did go under after one of the slides and then was a little shaken, but we did get her to go down a few more times with Daddy. I even went down a few of the really easy ones, but didn't get to go down all of the fun slides that Erik got to enjoy. Each day we would park ourselves next to the tarzan rope swing, it was pretty amusing.

Kalia's favorite thing was to throw pennies into the mermaid fountain. Even with the king bed, it was a tight squeeze. We made a perfect "H", Erik and I on each side and Kalia sleeping the whole night perfectly horizontal. At least one of us was comfortable. We watched "Horton hears a who" and it's Erik's new favorite movie.

I had total pregnancy brain on our last day. We took Kalia for a ride after check-out to get a little nap in and lunch for us before we returned for our last session at the pool and at one of the beaches, I guess I left my shoes there. I had only brought 1 pair of shoes for the two days and when we arrived to the front of the hotel to valet, I couldn't find my shoes. Kalia was really concerned "oh, no mommy, your shoes! oh, no where are your shoes mommy?" I spent the rest of the day barefoot. It was really weird!

I really need to watch what I say or what I laugh at...the other day I was telling Erik in the other room, "it's not fair, she only took a 45 minutes nap". I was talking like a whiny little kid, but Kalia heard and for the next 10 minutes "it's not fair" was the non-stop quote of the day. Today we walked to the park and at the park, Kalia was trying to get something gross of the wheel and I said "don't touch that, it might be dog poop." So "dog poop" was the quote of the day "dog poop, mommy, dog poop". Erik picked us up half way home and the first thing she said to him was "Daddy, dog poop." I couldn't help but laugh with my 4th grade humor, "dog poop".

Kalia has been talking to the baby in my stomach for the past few days. Today she tried to feed the baby crackers through my belly button. I tried to tell her that if I ate the cracker, then the baby would eat it too. I think she thought I was just trying to eat her snacks.

my friend tutu

Tutu and Grandpa just visited us for 10 days and Kalia is missing them. During the week Kalia started saying "my friend tutu". When she would see her for the first time after waking up she would say "Hi Tutu, my friend Tutu" and very affectionately.
She would sit on tutu's lap and have her read her "glitter books" Auntie Kim gave her, over and over again.

One afternoon she took grandpa on a walk, and she kept walking. She walked grandpa all the way down the hill, across the street and to the Roy's shopping center. It was a hot afternoon and grandpa was a little tired after coming back.

We had lunch at Kimo's one day and we were waiting for the entrees, not too long, but too long for Kalia to wait for the hot dog we ordered her. She started saying very loudly "Hot dog, where are you?" It really made us all laugh.
