Hula Show at Kaanapali Beach Hotel

Aloha
Here's a video from Kalia's Hula Show on Saturday night at Kaanapali Beach Hotel.

Field Trip to The Ritz-Carlton

The 1st Grade and Kindergarten class went to the
Ambassadors of the Environment (children's program)
at The Ritz-Carlton, Kapalua
Maya got to come along- it was her first day out
of the house and she had so much fun.
She seriously thinks she's in kindergarten.
At the end of the trip, the kids ran around
and then Mrs. Coon called the Kindergarten class
and Maya went with them and sat to play duck, duck, goose.

Soccer and Turkeys

Here was Kalia's second to last soccer game.

I love the facial expressions!

Turkey hands!

Last Sunday, Maya tripped and hit the bridge of her nose on
the bed frame.  She didn't have to get stitches, but it was quite traumatizing
for all of us.  We spent some time at home this week,
making sure it was healing.  So we did some thanksgiving crafts.

Maya was quite the trooper, she handled it very well.
In the waiting room- we had to wait about 40 minutes,
we started to play "I spy" and she told me "I spy
someone with an owie on their nose- it's Maya!"

Halloween 2012

Halloween 2012

Kalia's Class Pizza Party

Erik & I both got to help with Kalia's class party,
the kids were soooo excited.
Then I did a craft with the class-
a Halloween kaleidescope.
Then costumes for the school parade.

Trick or Treating with Scarlett!

Oh no! This poor zombie pizza delivery guy
was crushed by a car!
Yes, this was a little disturbing...

Hanging with "bones" back at home.
Trick or treating is hard work!

Friday was Jog-A-Thon!
Kalia's class ready to run around the track to
raise funds for class trips this year.

Kalia really took off- she started after her class had left,
since she was putting her prize down.  But by halfway
around the track she had caught them- and then
she kept going!  She ended up running 26 laps,
we kept telling her to stop and take a break and she
would say, "1 more lap!" Thanks everyone who sponsored her!
(especially you Auntie Lo with that big per lap amount...)

Erik and I both helped and took a lap with her.
Fun day and the kids had a blast!
I think Erik had fun too squirting the kids
with our water sprayers.

Saturday.  We've had a busy week!

Halloween Eve

Halloween Eve
Home from school and we are carving pumpkins!
The girls both wanted to draw on their faces
and I told them I would carve out their creations.
They were extremely detailed designs and it
took me much longer than I had anticipated.
Next year- they are only getting to draw,
2 eyes, a mouth and a nose- that's it!

Maya

Their finished designs!

Then on to the Harvest Festival.

Then we came home to our lit pumpkins.
