Camping!

Kalia & Maya's 1st Camping Trip
Papalaua Camp Grounds
( 1000 peaks)

Having just a little bit of fun in the tent.

Maya relaxing at our spot
while Daddy & Uncle Greg went on a fire wood collecting expedition.

(see fire wood in background- nice job Daddy & Uncle Greg)

Yes, Kalia is in a dress to go camping,
we picked her up from school and headed down.
This is appropriate camping attire in Kalia's world.

Yeah! Camping!

Erik and his campfire
We did get about 10 minutes of torrential downpour,
we knew there was a chance of rain.
But it cleared and we were able to have an awesome fire.

The girls and Uncle Greg
looking for crabs- there were tons!

The girls by the campfire,
they took turns throwing wood on.

Waiting for the fire to die down to roast marshmallows,
Daddy stop throwing wood on!

Morning time: swim, surf & fishing

We had a really fun 1st camping trip with the girls! Perfect spot, the girls had a blast in the tent, s'mores, we woke up to a new south swell and both got to surf, erik fished the girls played and played. However, Maya our crib baby did not understand the concept of us all sleeping in a tent together. She would not go to sleep and would randomly wake up and roll on her sister, kick her sister or walk around the tent. This will definitely be work in progress. It was so much fun that I really can't let Maya's sleep bother me- she will learn from all of our future trips. As Erik says, "we are doing this every weekend"! Best weekend ever! Oh except that when we got home Kalia had a high fever and now has croupy cough again. And you know how I feel about croupy cough...bleh!

Tutu arrived today and we picked her up and immediately brought her home, where she watched Kalia (with 103.8 fever!), so I could take Maya to see Celena before she leaves for CA. My mom rocks! Thanks Mom-literally off the plane to nurse a sick child, so we could hang by the Ritz pool and drink Mai Tais (OK, I only had one).
