hoku of the week!

Kalia was "Hoku" (star) of the week.
We arrived for lunch on Tuesday.
We were planning on going to lunch on Wednesday,
but Kalia really wanted Maya to be there, so we went on Tuesday.

We ate on the "girls" end and it was quite fun to see all the action,
and there was a lot of action!

We were told by Kalia that "Zach's mommy & daddy came out
to recess". So we asked and got to go out and see all the craziness!
Pre-School, Kindergarten, 1st Grade and 2nd Grade all eat together,
then K, 1 & 2 go to play. Then the 3rd, 4th, 5th graders eat
and join them for the last 15 minutes.

It was really fun to meet all the kids and see Kalia charging the playground. The best part was definitely seeing the kids out on the playground. I think our biggest concern with her going to big girl school is the social aspect and she holds her own on the playground, we were very proud of our little Kalia Mo.

Kalia had so much fun being Hoku of the week and we got to take home Benny the Bear! Since we are on fall break this week, we will have him for 10 days. He is as big, if not bigger than Kalia and she's not sure about having him in her room right now.
