i know i'm a slacker...but i have excuses!

You've waited a long time to see this photo of dot pictures!
What is the significance of the dot pictures?
Not much, they just love, love these paint markers
that Auntie Kim gave them. They are perfect
for both girls, didn't take a photo of the flowers that
Kalia made with them. This was just their first day experimenting, I just wanted to say "thanks" to Auntie Kim, it's been keeping us busy -
on days I haven't been feeling so good (excuse #1 for not posting blog updates).

THANKSGIVING = PUZZLE OBSESSION
OK, I admit I started it...
It all began on Thanksgiving with a small, innocent 300 piece puzzle...
this soon led to a 500 piece puzzle...
then as I was picking up Kalia's antibiotics for a sinus infection,
I saw a 1000 piece puzzle at Long's (the only puzzle they had over 100 pieces).
Little did I know this would start a 5 day obsession...
Confidently finishing off the 500 piece puzzle!

Cuddles with Tutu
Kalia ended up with a pretty high fever all weekend long
and Tutu and Grandpa watched her quite a bit.
The girls both definitely had some good quality time
with my parents. Maya was asking about them today after her nap-
they are supposed to be in the living room when you wake up
from sleeping you know...

MONKEY SEE, MONKEY DO
Maya saw Cole leaning over his mommy's lap to play with the grass,
it looked like fun, so Maya ran over to do the same.

Maya's 1st Movie: Tangled!
We were brave and took Maya with us and
overall she did great! When everyone was laughing at
something in the theatre, she would look around and say, "funny".
When somebody got knocked down she would say, "oh no!"

Big girl - sitting next to Celia & Scarlett at the end of the movie.
Kalia truly enjoyed herself, she was laughing out loud and making
comments. Luckily, the entire theater was kids- since my kids
were talking quite a bit.

...and if you were wondering, yes that 1000 piece puzzle
was finally finished. My dad would not go to the movies
with us- he could not leave the puzzle unfinished.
They were going to live on Maui until this puzzle was completed.

Puzzle Complete

Walking your baby is serious stuff.
Did I ever mention that this Mickey Mouse stuffed animal is Maya's lovey?
She must sleep and cuddle with her blankey and her Mickey Mouse.
Oh by the way - Kalia said she might ask Santa for a new Blankey!?!
The blankey that we tie around you to wear as a long dress- the
blankey you've had since you were a baby? No, I will be crossing that off her list.
We are just not ready...

Sitting on Santa's Lap
Didn't mean to sit on his lap myself,
but Maya was so tired that she just cried
when I put her on his lap.

Excuse #2 for Blog Neglect:
Our Mom's Group was having a Home Party/Craft Show
and I had been working tirelessly on the following items:

Drawstring backpacks

Wristlets

Toy Rolls

Crayon and Marker Rolls

Art Sets

It was really fun- although glad it is done.
I did pretty well and took a few orders,
but other than that, just want to work on
things for the girls and bake, bake, bake.
Oh and maybe start my Christmas shopping!

Today we picked out our Christmas Tree
Look at the look on Maya's face!

Annual loading the tree on the car photo:)

Tonight we met up with Scarlett and Tiare for the
Nutcracker Ballet at the Maui Myth and Magic Theater
It was a fun show and then we had dinner after.

IOU: More meat and potatoes later
