dinner with uncle curt and aunty cherylAfter the family reunion on Yosemite we spent the next two nights with great grandma and great grandpa. Kalia really enjoyed bathing in the big sink between the washer and dryer. She also liked playing catch with great grandpa, which was more like throwing her fuzzy stuffed animal at him unexpectedly.
On Monday we drove to Fresno to take Kalia to the zoo and have lunch with Uncle Ted, Uncle Yuk and Terry. Kalia really liked the zoo, it was her first time seeing different types of animals. Kalia and Erik fed the giraffe and surprisingly one of her favorite parts was the flamingos (they were a favorite with aunty lo when she was about 9 years old too). Then we met my uncles at Uncle Ted's house for lunch. Kalia really liked seeing the fish pond in the backyard.
Went to dinner that night in Reedley with grandma, grandpa, aunty cheryl and uncle curt.
Oh, funny little side note. We basically slept in bed with Kalia the entire 2 weeks we were in California. She is such a toss and turner! I really had the worst two weeks of sleep. But at Grandma and Grandpa's house, Erik would sleep on the couch to give us a little more room and Kalia kept falling off the bed! We put a duffle bag filled with clothes next to her side of the bed to catch her fall, but one night I woke up at 3am and she wasn't next to me! I looked down and she was sleeping on the floor! She must have fallen off the bed and kept sleeping! The night prior, she fell off, but woke up and called for me to pick her back up. I really couldn't sleep after that, just looking at her sleeping in fetal position on the cold floor!
