We returned home yesterday from our 2 week california hendrickson family road trip. We left Maui on September 17th and after a very long, long day with layover in Honolulu, we finally arrived at Tutu and Grandpa's house after midnight. Poor Kalia, each leg of the day she kept saying "tutu and grandpa's house?" and we would say "just one more flight" and "now we just need to get the rental car". When we landed in LA she was saying "yeah, we did it." But we will had to get our luggage, wait forever for our rental car and drive and hour to their house.
The next day we did a little bit of errand running and left to drive to Parlier to stay at Kalia's great grandma and great grandpa's house before our weekend in Yosemite. Kalia was pretty upset to leave Tutu and Grandpa's house, luckily we were meeting up with them and our entire family for the weekend- the 1st annual Koga family reunion.
We made it to great grandma and great grandpa's house just when lo and vere were arriving. The next day we were off to our cabin in Yosemite. Kalia had a great time exploring all of the ins and outs of the 3 level cabin. There were 4 bedrooms, a loft and we had many air mattresses for the 20 people staying at the cabin for the weekend. We had a great night as everyone arrived. We had enough food to feed a small army. Kalia was having a great time, since the coffee table was filled with all sorts of goodies. Saturday we drove into Yosemite Valley for some exploring and that night for game night. There was some fierce competition for the Koga Kup. My cousin Kimberly ended up taking home the Koga Kup for this year, with a win in the final championship game of spoons.
Sunday we headed back to Selma for lunch with great grandma and great grandpa.
...to be continued.
