We fly into LAX on 7/6 and then drove up to the cabin above Bishop the next morning. The girls did very well on drive and everyone was excited to explore. The cabin was in Aspendell at 9500 feet and the "stream" in the backyard was flowing. The cabin was perfect with hammock, horseshoe pit, deck with bbq and fire pit. I think it took a day to get used to the roar of the river- I kept thinking it was raining or very windy outside. To say that the boys were excited to catch some fish was an understatement.
