After we said goodbye to everyone on Monday,we headed to downtown san diego to spend the next day and night with lauren and vere. They took us to the san diego zoo - which was fun, but the girls were definitely a little exhausted from the weekend. Kalia actually fell asleep as erik carried her, she does not do this sort of thing! Then back to Lauren & Vere's fabulous loft where lo cooked us an amazing dinner. Thanks for having us over guys! In the morning laurent made us these incredible cinnamon roll pancakes- super gourmet! Then we cruised back to tutu and grandpa's house - taking the scenic route through north county san diego, spending 3 1/2 driving back. Tuesday evening was the only night on our trip, where we weren't doing anything but relaxing.

Wednesday, my friend Rebecca and her gorgeous daughter Catherine came over - Catherine is 3 days younger than Maya. It was so cute to see them together and they are at the same exact stage! They both wanted to put these toy grapes in their mouths and since it splits in two (from kalia's kitchen set, where you can cut it in two) kalia split it up and gave one to each. So good to spend some time with them! Then we were off to Erik's sister's house...more later.
